Object of Desire: Think Tank Photo Stash Master 13L

August 23, 2019

By Greg Scoblete

Though it sounds like a nickname you’d give someone in college, the Stash Master is actually a well conceived gear bag. The Stash Master is designed to slip into backpacks or other bags that weren’t originally designed to house cameras, a kind of low-cost alternative to going all-in on a full gear bag. It’s roomy enough for a gripped (or two ungripped) DSLRs with a lens attached, plus up to a 70-200mm f/2.8 and three extra lenses. There’s also space for a flash. The interior dividers are customizable and the front flap can be tucked away when you’re using the Stash Master inside another backpack. You can also remove the case’s foam panel so it better conforms to the shape of your pack. The Stash Master can also function as a standalone camera bag. It has a water-resistant fabric exterior, handlines and side webbing loops for attaching a shoulder strap (though a strap is not included). Empty, the Stash Master adds just shy of a pound of extra weight to your bag.
