More than 19,000 people attended PHOTOPLUS 2019 in New York City, where they were able to learn about the latest imaging equipment and technology, and gain insights from some of the leading photographers and visual storytellers in the media, advertising and fine-art industries. Photo District News editors were on-hand speaking with manufacturers about the new and forthcoming cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, printers, papers and accessories. PDN also hosted a series of talks by photographers, photo editors and others, about the business of professional photography today. Those talks took place in the Tamron-sponsored PDN’s 30 Creators’ Lounge, which featured photographers we have profiled in our annual PDN’s 30 special issue of emerging photographers chosen by the editors. Here are a few of the highlights from the weekend.
