New York City-based food, travel, documentary and fine art  photographer Mira Zaki recently had great success as part of the Greenhouse Gallery for the James Beard Foundation.  Zaki, a native of the U.S., exhibited her Egyptian identity ( both her parents were born in Egypt) through the foods of Egypt.  Located in the reception space where guests mingle and meet before meals, the Greenhouse Gallery exhibits the works of up-and-coming and established artists who work with culinary themes. The gallery enhances the ambiance of the room during events and celebrates America's culinary heritage. See Zaki's vibrant food work at the Greenhouse Gallery here. Also see some of the recent press on her work.
