New York-based editorial and advertising photographer Michelle Pedone will speak on The Modern Portrait: Stylized Storytelling as part of the APA Image Makers Lecture series at the Soho Apple store on December 17. Oedone will show select stills and motion that span her editorial and advertising career while she discusses her approach to the creative process of making her images and video. She will also touch on the importance of creating personal work, and walking the tight rope of art and commerce. Pedone has won numerous awards by the International Photography Awards 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, as well as American Photography 24, 27. She had many group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, most recently at this year’s Photoville’s The Fence, Brooklyn, NY and Slideluck Potshow Panama II, Panama City, Panama. Pedone is represented by Randy Cole Represents.
