We met Mischa Richter and fell in love with him and sent him to do an upcoming feature in Montenegro. The work that Mischa had that knocked us out was stuff he did for Camper – of real people – and his work for Vibe.  That was what we fell in love with.  For us, real people are really good.  He has a kind of respectful way of photographing people - never mean.  We got the feeling that he was up for anything, travel-wise, and Montenegro is the kind of place where the travel is really headache-y.  So we knew he would roll with it and not call us and complain! But he also brings this beautiful, lyrical style to his stuff. So he had the chops in terms of being cool with travel but also his work is so beautiful - we were all so excited to see what he could do with an assignment.
