Steve Peixotto

Steve Peixotto has the range of San Francisco’s more established "generalist" advertising photographers, but it is his gift for connecting with people that really allows him to shine as a people photographer.  Steve instantly makes people feel at ease when he’s behind the camera, and he brings out each person's best in that moment.

Photographers who pursue their own personal projects always impress me.  Steve’s "Wandering Eyes" project is one that captures the beauty of a unique trait in his subjects.  Based on the work from that project, I called Steve to photograph Cutwater employees for a recent Lens Crafters pitch.  The very next day he was tasked with photographing forty agency people.  Not only did he make some beautiful images, but also even the camera shy folks had fun sitting for him. He’s also capable of pulling off a production of any size and is always ready to collaborate, offering solutions to any obstacle.
