Chris Woods
My first experience working with Chris was on campaign my agency
was launching which had him shooting daily over three weeks and
Chris didn’t break stride once. His focus and energy during the
production was consistent. Every day Chris was a sea of calm,
commanding his set with ease and professionalism. Chris knew what
he wanted from talent and directed them with ease, bringing out
behavior and character that was authentic. He’s thorough but shoots
quickly, which is a dream come true when saddled with a long shot
list. I always look at a body of work for its overall esthetic
first, but there are plenty of talented artists out there who’re
the right fit for overall look tone and feel. Few are collaborators
who can interpret art direction but who are also not afraid to
challenge or introduce a different perspective. This is something I
really enjoy about Chris’ style and approach to a brief. Over the
past few years Chris has become one of the most highly sought after
photographers in Canada, shooting campaigns for Nike, Infiniti and
Microsoft and he has graced the pages of
Rolling Stone and
Interview magazine. Yet, Chris is completely devoid of ego,
making him very easy to work with. He’s smart, concise and
passionate with a style that translates beautifully from the
editorial to commercial world.
