Vintage Michael Thompson


December 02, 2008 Like many young photographers, he set his ambitions high and began knocking on the doors of photographers whom he admired. PDN met up with Thompson this fall on the eve of his first gallery show, which was exhibited at the Hasted Hunt gallery in New York's Chelsea district. Many of the images that were on display are from the early- and mid-1990s, when Thompson first embarked on his own career after he left Penn's studio.
