Now here’s a new analogue camera with a truly retro design that includes a bellows. The Lomography Belair X 6-12 is a medium-format model that shoots (gasp!) 120-format roll film and boasts a variety of forward-thinking features, combining the old with the new.

For starters, along with 6 x 12 panoramic images, the Belair X 6-12 offers two other picture formats: 6 x 9 and 6 x 6. The Belair also features auto-exposure, and long and multiple exposure capabilities—a first for any 6 x 12 medium-format film camera we know of. The camera comes with a pair of interchangeable lenses: a 90mm standard lens and a 58mm wide-angle lens. In addition, Lomography is offering optional lenses (sold separately) including Belairgon 90mm and Belairgon 114mm Russian glass optics.

In terms of design, the Belair X 6-12 is vintage-licious. At the time of this writing, it was available in two styles: the Jetsetter, which is a metal and brown leather version of the camera; and the City Slicker, a sleek, black, plastic edition. There was also a beautiful, limited-edition (300 units) Globetrotter version of the Belair, with a metal body decorated with brown, snakeskin-inspired leather but it was already sold out. (You can probably find it for sale online.)

And while that distinctive bellows doesn’t function like a traditional camera bellows, it does allow you to fold the Belair X 6-12 up for easy portability.

Prices:
Jetsetter edition, $299; City Slicker edition, $249
