The University of Central Florida, College of Arts and Humanities, School of Visual Art and Design seeks a Lecturer of Photography for the Bachelor of Science in Photography Program. The principal duty of the position is teaching. Lecturers teach a four-course load per semester. The teaching focus will be in studio and location lighting with technical, aesthetic, and conceptual applications. The successful candidate will participate in and support program initiatives.
In an energetic partnership with the Daytona State College School of Photography and the Southeast Museum of Photography, the Bachelor of Science in Photography degree program offers students a multifaceted approach to a range of opportunities and careers in photography. This is a nine-month, non-tenure earning position. The program is located at the Daytona Beach campus with an anticipated start date in August 2013.
Candidates must have college or university teaching experience, an M.F.A. degree in photography or a related field from an accredited institution and expertise in lighting.Preferences include advertising/illustrative photographic experience, evidence of professional achievement, proficiency in digital media, being conversant in contemporary photographic perspectives and effective communication skills.
